It's my hope to make both the website and the blog an entertaining and enlightening experience for everyone, and for this to be an inclusive, open forum for folks to share ideas, talk books,
Keep an eye on the website. Right now the dust is still settling, and quite a bit of it--the Books, In the Works, Free Reads, and Link pages--is still a work in progress. Book pages will soon have excerpts, full-size cover art, reviews, meta-data, and more. The link page will soon be populated with a wide variety of author blogs, agent blogs, independent bookstores, erotic publishers' sites, and so on. (If you're a friend of erotic romance and would like to do a link exchange, drop me a line.)
To celebrate the grand opening of the blog and website, I'll be giving away a free autographed copy of Counterpoint (or an ebook if you prefer). Just leave a comment here and/or click the "follow" button and I'll do a random drawing on New Year's Eve. Comment and follow to be entered twice :-)
Thanks for visiting, folks. I think you're gonna like it here. (And I promise, that's the last time I'll ever quote Annie.)
Congrats, and bon voyage! (This is me *not* entering the giveaway, just wishing you a fun time with the new blog.)
ReplyDeleteTal
Hi Rachel. And Yes, I am vying for an ebook copy of Counterpoint.
ReplyDeleteYay! You quoted Annie! And lovely blog <3
ReplyDelete*shoves Bryl out the contest line*
ReplyDeleteWelcome to blogland. Gorgeous cover on your book.
@Tal, yeah, I didn't think my editor would need to enter a contest to get my book ;-)
ReplyDelete@Bryl and Mindy, thank you for the welcome!
@Barbara, thank you for the welcome as well, and zomg isn't Nathie talented? Check out his other work at nathie.deviantart.com, but do make sure you've got time to kill (you WILL get sucked in for a while) and possibly a moist towelette.

ReplyDeleteAlways wonderful to find a new blog - congrats. Do I get to enter the draw now - your books sounds great. :) I won't be internet-available on New Year's Eve - does that matter? (ps - sorry I had to delete my first comment - damn auto-word-filler)
ReplyDeleteHi Chaos! You've entered just by commenting. You can enter a second time by following the blog. No need to be present on NYE; I hope people have better things to do then ;-) I'll post the winner and notify them by email as well.
ReplyDeleteHey, Rachel! Don't enter me in the contest since you know I already have and ADORE Counterpoint, LOL. Just wanted to say the blog looks great! KG
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel!
ReplyDeleteThe blog looks great. No obnoxious colors or blinky things. ::grins:: Seriously, professional and easy to read.
Congrats on your release of Counterpoint (yeah, way tardy) but most importantly, good luck on your upcoming release in January! I look forward to reading it.
All my best,
Allure
@Kari, thanks dear! :D
ReplyDelete@Allure, lol, I do so like shiny things, so it was kind of hard to resist, but I keep hearing us writers are supposed to be professional on the internets so I shall restrain myself to posting pictures of half-naked men instead.
TY kindly for the congrats and well-wishes!
Hello, Rachel!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to NRP and the blogosphere! ;-)
Rachel,
ReplyDeleteGreat blog. I commented on a different blog of the same name. Are there two Rachel's? I love your blog. I'm now following you. I'm the cute black cat.
@Angela, thank you very much! It's looking like a wonderful place to be, and I'm quite excited :-)
ReplyDelete@Cara, yes, alas, someone already had RachelHaimowitz.blogspot.com, so I had to stick a hyphen in my name. Welcome to my new digital home; I hope you'll enjoy it here!
Nice work on your new blog, Rachel. And welcome to bloggerland. Your website is mighty fine looking too.
ReplyDeleteOh, this also me not entering 'cuz I already have an awesome copy of Counterpoint. ;-)
Hi Rachel,
ReplyDeleteI've been interested in what you've had to say elsewhere, so I'm keen to see what you have to say here too.
@LC, thanks hon!
ReplyDelete@Stevie-carroll, probably a lot about cats, would be my guess ;-p
Very nice blog! And I say, talk about yourself in third person, quite fun actually.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what pops up around here. And yes please... autographed book... pick me pick me =D
Thanks kindly Amara! I shall enter you :-)
ReplyDeleteHello Rachel!
ReplyDeleteI've commented some of your previous post, but somehow I've missed this one. Nevermind... Greetings from your Polish fan :D. I wish Counterpoint had been published here, but unfortunately, I don't see it coming in the nearest future. But it doesn't mean that I can't try to promote your book :).
Thank you for organizing this amazing giveaway. I already have a paperback copy of Counterpoint, but it would be great to own an autographed copy. Therefore, please count me in!
Barbara
Aww, you're sweet Barbara, thank you! :D
ReplyDeleteYay! So exciting :) Greetings and thanks for a chance to win that beautiful book in the flesh with some extra ink!
ReplyDeleteBTW - Amara sent me over here to check it out!
I'm now a new follower too - Have a Happy New Year ~Miranda
Welcome Miranda! And OMG Amara, is she not the sweetest person ever? :D
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to 'meet' you and this all looks so great! I have been hearing a lot about you, just recently, from Aleks...nothing but nice, honestly. :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you have in store for the coming year.
Hi Rachel!! I heard about you from Amara's Place, and thought I would check your blog out... I like so far! Looking forward to following you and reading your books. I would love a copy of Counterpoint!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that Amara is just the sweetest person ever. =)
Welcome Monika and Jennifer! :-) Looking forward to chatting with you both!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... can you autograph an ebook? Either way, count me in!
ReplyDeleteHave read some of your excerpts over at Amaras' blog. Yes, it was her that directed me here!! So if I were to win would want it to go to her :)
ReplyDelete@Diane: Heh, actually, some writers put the ebook on CD and then sign the CD. I have not done this; if you win, you will need to settle for a lovely trade paperback ;-)
ReplyDelete@Fred: That's very sweet! I will be sure to honor your wishes if the random number generator picks you :) And welcome to Fantasy Unbound!
