Today we welcome author Leanne Dyck, who writes mainstream under that name and erotica under Grace Meadows. She's here to talk about some of her favorite things, and also her latest novel, The Sweater Curse. I live with a whole family of obsessive knitters (and have occasionally been one myself), so this book caught my eye straight away.
Aspiring knitwear designer Gwen Bjarnson is stuck in Purgatory. To escape, she must re-examine her life, journey through her past and right a wrong. But which wrong?Young and in love, she works to establish her career, except fate has different plans. One rash act and she loses everything. Never resting, always seeking, and yearning for what she can no longer have, Gwen faces the truth: if she remains, others are destined to die.
How will she solve the mystery before it is too late?
This isn't Heaven. It isn't Hell. And I'm not alive.
Picture this: a bus stop, tons of people packed into the same small space all waiting to continue their journey. Many buses stop here. Some passengers get off, others get on. Young children with sickly white complexions huddle together in the shelter. Teenagers with rope burns around their necks get off the bus. Old men with bullet holes climb on.
Throughout this confusion, the only constant is me. I remain alone.
Why?
I don't know, but I must find the reason. I must examine my life to discover the momentary lapse. The wrong I've committed. The task I've neglected. It's my only means of escape.

-Prologue to THE SWEATER CURSE
And now my chat with Leanne, beneath the jump.
What’s your favorite hobby outside of writing?
Since I was a teenager I’ve been courted by two passions—one is writing and the other is…
Time Together
Male meets female—the air drips with estrogen and testosterone. This chemical mixture ignites. Nothing exists but passion.
His muscles flex with each movement. Hot steamy sweat collects on his brow. In and out, his movements excite her.
“That’s right! Very good! Now…oh, that’s right in there…very good.”
Encouraged by her words he continues. “This is rather tricky.”
“It does get easier,” she promises. “With time the stitches will slip off your needles. YOU really are a natural.”
“Should be—after watching you for years.” He grins.
He knows how to make love to a knitter.
What would constitute your own personal happily ever after?
Living on a beautiful island, daily engaged in my passion, I think I may be living my happy ending.
Are you a book hoarder?
Yes, I’m guilty. As I walk into a bookstore, my body begins to tremble and I know I need a fix. Once purchased, books are doomed to exist on my bookshelves, forever. (insert evil laugh here)
What are you currently working on?
Turning is a young adult adventure loosely based on my time in a government-run youth group. Struggling with dyslexia and raised by overprotective parents, Lyndi longs for a boyfriend, an adventure, a life. She enlists in a youth group hoping to fulfill her dreams.
The Sweater Curse sequel. Why did Aster’s husband leave her? Though she ages by day, month and year, the question remains. To her, nothing else matters. Will she be able to face the truth and learn to live on without him or will she continue in her malingering suicide?

Excerpt:
By the time Liz reached his desk, she had removed her blouse. In one fluid motion, still holding onto one sleeve, Liz threw the other sleeve into the air. Ray ducked and the sleeve wrapped around his neck. Liz caught the sleeve in her other hand. She giggled in giddy anticipation as she pulled Ray’s head closer and closer to her breasts.
Ray caught her hands in his and held her back. “Ms. Dumont, this is most inappropriate behavior. Please, take your seat.”
“Oh, but, Ray, I far prefer to sit here.” She pulled up her skirt and sat down on the corner of the desk.

Reviews for The Sweater Curse
‘Stitch by colorful stitch, Leanne Dyck knits a tale of intrigue with The Sweater Curse.’ Laurie Buchanan
‘Leanne Dyck has crafted a tale as exotic and existential as Danish author Isak Dinesen’s…This book defies definitions as it finds its unique place on the fiction shelves. Here’s hoping Leanne Dyck returns many times to the intriguing roots of her family’s past.’
Mystery author Lou Allin
‘Go out and pick this one up, you’ll find yourself immersed as well.’
