Welcome to my little corner of the gay erotic romance universe . . . well, half of it, anyway. (You can find the other half at RachelHaimowitz.com.) This is the place to come for sneak previews of new projects, release information, and the occasional M/M book review. I'll also share thoughts on the industry on occasion, and I hope you'll come share yours in return.

Win a Free Kindle, & It's Like High School All Over Again!

There's a popularity contest going on at D. Renee Bagby's First Chapters Blog, where people vote for the best cover, chapter, first line, and last line of all the first chapters posted at her blog in January. I'm the first to admit that the first and last sentence of Anchored's first chapter aren't the most riveting on their own (but work fine with the story, tyvm ;-p), but I do think the cover and the first chapter as a whole are pretty happening. If you think so too, I'd be delighted if you'd hop on over and vote.

Now for the bit you really care about: winning a free Kindle. Noble Romance Publishing is giving away a pre-loaded Kindle for Valentine's day, along with additional awesome prizes like a $25 gift certificate to Amazon, a $25 gift certificate to ARe, and a bunch of author swag. Want to enter? Click here.

  1. Hi Rachel,

Thank you for sharing the link to the survey. I've voted for Anchored, because even if I wasn't your fan, I would still think that Anchored's cover is the best one :D.

The contest organized by Noble Romance is simply awesome. I'd love to win anything there, although, I'm currently saving for Kindle, so... ;).

  2. Hi Barbara :-) Thanks for voting! I agree that Fiona did a pretty damn amazing job on that cover :D I also agree with you re: the contest. Noble's been a truly awesome publisher to write for, and they just keep getting better. I'm looking forward to my next book with them. (And a Kindle, btw? SO worth saving for.)

  3. Hi Rachel:

I voted for you (twice) and hope you win. I'll tweet about it too, just for good measure! I think the FB page of Noble Romance Publishing is down, because I'm getting an error message. Can you please help me find the right link if you don't mind? Thanks so much.

    Your newest fan, Genna

  4. Aw, thanks Genna, that's really sweet! I'd be happy to help you, but I'm not sure which page you're looking for. Noble's FB page? Or the Kindle contest page? Something else?

  5. Yes, Noble's FB page link isn't working for me. It could just be me, though, I don't know! Thanks, Rachel :)

  8. LOL, I keep trying to enter that Noble Romance contest with my Anchored review. Apparently I'm to wordy. lol I keep trying to cut it down... yeah... still too wordy.

Why can't I just say... This book rocks. It's less wordy. Sheesh.
